Dr Rebecca Nicholls

BSc MBChB FRNZCGP

Not currently taking new patients.

I am a part time General Practitioner with a special interest in mental health, women’s health and patient education. I graduated from Auckland University in 1997 and worked in mainly mental health before starting my GP career in 2006. My colleagues and I started Cashmere Health medical practice in 2005 as we felt there was a need for a small, friendly, personal practice in this area of town and I  gained entrance to the Fellowship of NZ General Practice in 2010.
My approach to medicine is broad minded and patient centered. I am always keen to promote patient education and preventative medicine.
I also work for the Canterbury District Health Board as a medical writer. The CDHB writing aims to inform and bring together patients, specialists in the hospital and community health professionals.
In my free time I dedicate myself to my 2 children and partner. I enjoy family time at our “farm in the clouds” on Banks Peninsula, gardening, reading about, cooking and eating food, children’s literature and being in nature.
