Dr Andrew Dickie

MRCGP,  DCH – Dip Practical Dermatology

Not currently taking new patients

I was born far away in a village in the north west of England. After graduating from Manchester University I trained for general practice in Scotland and then worked as a GP in the UK for 15 years. I moved to live permanently in Christchurch in 2003 after enjoying a lovely sabbatical year in New Zealand. I joined Lincoln Medical as a GP and partner working there for 12 years.
I relish the many and varied challenges of general practice and have specific interests in care of patients with chronic illness, skin conditions and travel medicine. I enjoy developing long term relationships with my patients, supporting them when needed and enabling them to make decisions about their health and treatment with communication the cornerstone of a successful outcome. I am looking forward to getting to know the community of Cashmere.
When I’m not working I love to travel, cook, cycle, walk our dog or mess around in the garden. My wife also works in health and we have three grown up children.
I am delighted to have the opportunity of joining Cashmere Health and bringing a little gender diversity to the team.
