Currently NOT taking new patients

General practice had always been my aim when I graduated from Otago Medical School in 1987 and it has been a career path I have never regretted.
It is a huge privilege to get to know patients and work together with them through all of the ups and downs of life and while there are tears along the way sometimes, there are often a few laughs as well.
I have been a partner at Selwyn Village Medical for over 20 years and I am excited to now be working with the great team at Cashmere Health.
It will take a while to get to know all my new patients and their families, and for you to get used to me too, but I am looking forward to meeting you all and continuing your healthcare. Good communication with my patients is very important to me as I want you to be as informed as possible so that we can work together to make decisions on treatment and care. I am always open to answering questions so if you are unclear or uncertain about things please do ask.
Outside of medicine I am, as you can tell by my picture, a very keen cyclist. My husband Steve and I have always been interested in the outdoors and sports and have been involved in multisport, mountain biking, triathlon, running and cycle racing for many years.
We have three adult children all in various stages of university study who think we are slightly mad, but whether its racing or just doing things for fun we both enjoy it immensely and have no plans on stopping.
